{"id":1807,"date":"2022-10-24T19:25:22","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T19:25:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earthresinc.wpengine.com\/?p=1807"},"modified":"2024-07-18T14:15:50","modified_gmt":"2024-07-18T18:15:50","slug":"naval-air-station-key-west-coastal-restoration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.earthres.com\/naval-air-station-key-west-coastal-restoration\/","title":{"rendered":"Naval Air Station Key West Coastal Restoration"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Project:<\/strong> Coastal Restoration &amp; Revetment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccdKey West, Florida<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-challenge\">The Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Develop coastal restoration plans to restore the Naval Air Station (NAS) in Key West, Floria after a hurricane ripped through the area.&nbsp; This extensive coastal restoration project would include&nbsp;conducting the necessary geotechnical evaluation and developing revetment designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-solution\">The Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>EARTHRES prepared the designs for multiple shoreline facilities located at Naval Air Station (NAS) Key West as part of a larger coastal restoration design\/build project team.&nbsp; Damaged by a recent hurricane, the coastal restoration project required the design and construction of rock revetments, concrete seawall, and replacement dock\/boat ramp facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EARTHRES prepared the work scope for the geotechnical evaluation and prepared the revetment designs for the prescribed areas.
