{"id":1791,"date":"2022-10-24T18:42:33","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T18:42:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earthresinc.wpengine.com\/?p=1791"},"modified":"2024-07-18T14:15:52","modified_gmt":"2024-07-18T18:15:52","slug":"spring-water-resource-permitting-in-exceptional-value-watershed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.earthres.com\/spring-water-resource-permitting-in-exceptional-value-watershed\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring Water Resource Permitting in Exceptional Value Watershed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Project:<\/strong> Spring Water Resource Permitting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccdExceptional Value Watershed, Columbia County, PA<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-challenge\">The Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Conduct hydrological investigations in support of a new source spring water permit in an Exceptional Value Watershed area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-solution\">The Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Efforts included meetings with state regulatory agencies, aquifer testing, characterization of rainfall influence, surface and groundwater interaction assessment, wetland mapping and monitoring, groundwater quality assessment, FDA determination of spring water, statistical analysis of hydrological data, environmental audit of surrounding properties, and permit application preparation and submission to state and river basin commissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" src=\"https:\/\/earthres.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Exceptional-Value-Watershed-Columbia-County-PA.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1793\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.earthres.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Exceptional-Value-Watershed-Columbia-County-PA.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.earthres.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Exceptional-Value-Watershed-Columbia-County-PA-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Engineering design of a spring catchment and collection box system to fill by gravity flow was completed for construction at the site. Bulk water treatment and storage facilities were also designed for the client. Spring catchment and collection boxes, ancillary piping, stainless steel storage silo, and bulk water load-out building were constructed at the site. A remote monitoring system to comply with state and river basin permit requirements was designed and installed.
